Crowe-Prado I was initially attracted to this piece because I felt it would be a unique accent piece and would "spruce" of my room decor. The box arrived looking like it had been handled by bears. Everything was in good condition, so I put it together only to find at the end of assembly that the frame is so warped that the table is not level. GRRRR! (in keeping with the whole bear thing) Now I have to disassemble the #$%&* thing, repackage it in the shredded box and bother with a return. I will try one more time, but if the replacement is defective, I'm sending dead salmon to the manufacturer! Update: I got a replacement in an amazon-ingly short time! Had to have a second one shipped as the first one was damaged in transit. Company took a while to respond...I had to call twice, but did send a replacement without requiring I return the damaged one. (Just had to email pictures of the damage.) For a laminate finish it is lovely. It took me about an hour to unpackage and assemble. It is quite small so it fit perfectly in the spot I had in mind. Cherry wood vanity By stacy hamons Me and my husband went from furniture store to furniture store searching for a product like this but the prices were far beyond our budget or extremely overpriced. I went to to Amazon and found the exact same vanity at a fraction of the price-my husband was very surprised and asked why I hadn't told him about this site before, as he is not an internet user. We hurried and ordered the product and it arrived in about a week. I am very happy with it as it matches our bedroom decor perfectly. Not only is it a great height for my daughter now at the age of 4 1/2, but it is a stool that she will be able to use as she gets older. Very easy to assemble. There's Only four legs to screw on. The top is a classic ivory on ivory print. Adequately padded, not luxuriously, but very nice for the price. Beautiful but cheap & flimsy - impossible to return even with receipt By angelwingz I bought the stool and vanity for my 6 yr old for Christmas. Both were poorly made and pieces were broken even as we removed them from the boxes to assemble them. The stool is held together by one screw in each leg and is unstable. The wood is fragile and thin and splits easily upon assembly. The front vaneer panel of the desk fell off in the shipping box. My husband had to use wood glue to attach it. It was also missing metal hinges that lock the mirrors into place so we had to improvise. On Christmas Eve, we were scrambling to bring together a piece of overpriced junk so my child would have a magical Christmas. She was able to use it for about a week before the stool totally fell apart and the desk vanity permanently jammed shut. The vanity mirror fell apart and hanges from only one hinge. The entire purchase was a disappointment. Target does not back the workmanship of the product and we were unable to return it, even with a receipt, because it was an online purchase. Even if you purchase the items in the store, any returns over $200 must go through a separate customer service center. The customer representatives were courteous but we were still unable to return our purchase, even with receipt. It came well wrapped, and nothing was broken and the pieces weren't missing. It was easy to put together and is pretty strudy. The pictures are true to the item you get, and I do not believe it looks "cheap". Its a decent size vanity. I think it was a good value for the money. It would be perfect for a teenage daughter, but Im closer to 30 than I am to 19 and it works well for me too. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Just Perfect! This is a cute cream white vanity done in the country style. It has painted trim and beautiful various flowers on it. The one with the yellow flowers on the crest of the mirror and drawer, is the new updated version and is the one you will receive. The pink flowers in the full vanity picture is no longer available. This is a gorgeous vanity at a great price! The vanity and stool has solid hardwood legs and the seat is fabric with a wonderful pattern. Notice the front drawers on the top and the 3 below! This is great for jewelry storage and lingerie! The mirror can be adjusted and the surface top has a wood veneer with a nice oak finish. This vanity is made well and will last. Isn't it elegant? While moving it a leg broke off. Had the same problem with the stools and had to toss them. Becaused it wont be moved again it has been fixed and there are no other problems. By BugaBoo When we were looking for these types of furniture for my daughter, we were not so sure about spending a lot of money since we do move often and things usually don't survive the move. So we looked for something within our price range but figured it wouldn't be really sturdy. Surprisingly, this one is quite sturdy for the price. It is made of compressed woods but the little support pieces here and there are solid wood and the white paint finish is nice, and the legs for the stool is angled out so it doesn't topple over easily the mirror is plexy glass so it has slightly warped effect when you look at it, but it's good enough for my daughter (1.5 yr old). She loves to sit on it and comb her hair and put all her hair stuff in the drawer. The drawer is built so that it doesn't just fall out and drop on the floor - whoever designed this actually put some thought into it. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. Being white color also makes it easy to change colors if I ever wanted to paint it or something. I anticipate that my daughter will be able to use this at least till 4 year old without a problem, not sure how tall she'd be, so I'm not sure if she can use it past four years old or not yet. I can't imagine paying $400 for this. It is a nice peice of furniture, and well work $100 or even $200, but not $400. Regardless, it seems a bit small but is perfect for my 7yr old daughter and I imagine it will be fine as she grows into an adult. Assembly is very easy and I added some Elmers glue to the joints to ensure that the legs stay on solidly. The cover on the seat seems exceptionally nice. That's exactly what we wanted and works perfectly in the room with my teenage daughter. Very nice and sturdy and are easy to clean. The instructions were not easy to follow and the parts were not marked. It took a while labeling the parts before you start putting up the points together and I think it helped to go faster. It took about 45 minutes to assemble. Be careful - we put the mirror before putting on glass plates and it was heavy and she turned and broken mirror a little, but not so much singing. Sitting down on the stool, I could see only the bottom third of my face. But after my handy husband adjusted the hinge on the side, I am able to see my entire head. (By the way, my husband forced me to write this review so that everyone with, or considering, this item will know that you just need to move the two screws on the bottom hinge in order to see your whole face.) There are two hole marks visible now, but it doesn't bother me, especially since the top closes shut. The seat is much better looking in person. I suggest you open the box immediately after arrival. Two pieces were broken and the company's website did not mention this or similar to the numbered instructions. No one is available in customer service. Too expensive for poor packaging and lack of support. There is one page attachment to the instructions that states in bold four times, "Please, let us help." Do not believe it. I will send them back and go for a Pottery Barn. Update 12/23/10 - two of three broken parts were delivered. Third part is unavailable. I shared a private bathroom with 2 or 3 other girls, and it was very difficult to get dressed in the morning because we wanted all the light and mirror. I ended up wanting a vanity, but has no money or space for one. I ended up getting a full length mirror and it worked fine. I finally saved up the money and I did tons of research to ensure I would be one that could fit and one that was a nice quality. I did not want one that looked like cheating and would fall apart. It took me a while but I finally decided that this was the vanity for me. I was very pleased when I put together vanity. E 'greater than the standard vanity drawer, but not too big and clumsy. I have not looked at height, but it is high. I have enough space between me and the vanity and is as close as I need and is very tough, mainly made of real wood, so it's very solid. I bought from Amazon and I was glad I did. The packaging was not the best for the part of the vanity. Everything else had its own big box and packing. But vanity itself. The first one I got was dented at the front and I was not happy. I called Amazon and was immediately a new one. I picked up two days later. :) It was perfect and I love my vanity. I can not wait for the strength to face my vanity, not to fight for the mirror. The bottom drawers were on the front. But that was easily solved with some glue. It seems that the glue is dry, not as careful shipping, it came loose. Not something I liked how easy it was to solve and what would have happened over time.
